Bellyvision hits the button

Thursday 1st June 2006

Members of the public from Birmingham become Bellyvision models to help promote The Pallasades

When Bellyvision launched in April on Oxford Street it created massive media interest across the country. Marketing Manager of The Pallasades, Jo Blythin, immediately identified a promotional opportunity and with the help of the Bellyvision team began searching for local people to become models.

Fiona Johnson, Jemma Palmer, Paul Eccles-James and Katie Jones, all from Birmingham, will be tasked with walking around the centre of the city with the Pallasades web address painted on their stomachs by professional make up artists. Jo Blythin is sure that this will raise the awareness of the Pallasades’ new web site.

“When I first heard about Bellyvision I thought it was a very creative method of advertising that could really get simple messages across.” Said Jo, “Our message is very simple, our new web site is now live and therefore I believe that Bellyvision will really work for us.

“The philosophy of the Bellyvision team is straightforward. They are placing an ad on something that people are already looking at, what could be easier?”
The models will go into make up at 9.30am on Thursday 1st June and will then walk a pre-arranged route through the city for between 12noon and 3pm.
